I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – great clip. Scotty, especially, did a good job with this one.

What is your least favorite feature of the Snowvision site?

o “On my monitor specifically, some of the navigation is hard to see because it’s either too small (i.e. – login / sign up at top right) and the other thing is some of it is hard to see because it’s a little monochromatic (i.e. – sections for videos)”

o “I like where your head is, but I have to say it looks way to basic and needs a little facelift. It doesn’t really draw my attention to anything. I’m not really sure what I am supposed to be looking for or at.”

o “Navigation is clunky…need to have a main navigation bar at the top…sucks using the back button all the time”

o “The content is not defined too well. The video clips need more information telling you about each one.”

o “It would be nice to know when the video was made – yeah it is the grenade tour but is the footage from November or March?”

I’ve been pulling together some of the feedback that we’ve gotten during the past couple of weeks and and wanted to share some responses to some of our questions:

What’s your favorite feature on Snowvision?

o “That site is pretty cool, i just checked it out. Easy to get around. The videos loaded fast and had pretty good quality.”

o “At first glance, seems intuitive, simple and easy to navigate. Videos loaded fast and navigation moved right along. Nice large format for video delivery is great too.”

o “I really like the resort info section. The video are great, I like how they have clips from legit snowboard movie productions.”

o “great selection of clips, all of which loaded quickly, no hiccups. I like the weather report chooser. Overall, the concept is great and it is super user-friendly. I like that it doesn’t have a lot of the dumb shit other sites do and that it is not brand crazy.”

o “It’s all too cool. Love the layout, the videos & the content. Nice to be able to check different resort conditions!”

o “FUCKING SICK LOGO. IT REALLY WORKS AND CAN BE USED FOR A LOT MORE THAN JUST THIS SITE. THE COLORS ARE COOL SO IF YOU WERE TO ADD OR ADVERTISE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE OPENING PAGE IN ANOTHER COLOR, IT WOULD REALLY POP.”

o “Visually, its clean—I like the colors, and the snapshot of the clips to choose from”

o “I love that you can drag and drop individual PARTS to make your own playlist/movie. Very innovative idea.”

o “Event coverage. also liked the behind the scenes footage of the events and the sound is really good!”

o “it’s great that you can e-mail the video clips to friends. I found a rad video from the Volcom booth at SIA and sent it to our inhouse girl. It’s great that great that kids can put their grass roots videos on here!”

o “DVD CLIPS, FAST LOAD TIME, This is a really cool site. Big mountain, powder. Stuff you can’t get in your back yard.”

We had stickers with the logo that we handed out during the Union Square Rail Jam – I think that we’re out for the time being. We’ll be ordering some more very soon though.

Looking forward to it….

In a couple of pieces of feedback that we’ve received, it was recommended that the ability to sort by pipe, park, backcountry, etc. should be added to the Video Index Page. Thoughts?
